Sato Colors

I want to get a Sato for my RAcaseal but I want to know the story with the colors. What decides the color of a Sato, the MAG's original color or the costume of the character that evolves it? I have heard both of these answers but I want to know what the real story is before I make mine.

It's the original color of the mag. I've been making Satos for all my characters using my FOmarl and she's made pink, purple, and green ones so far. These all matched the outfit colors of the original owners of the mags.
