I've just been informed that Spy will no longer be a part of our community. At least for a long time. As some of you know, Spy and I have had a lot of fun together on these boards and playing PSO. For me it will not be the same without him. And I still owe him a roast Al Rappy....

*Danger Girl starts to cry*

You probabily don't care though, and I apologize for wasting your time. But feel I had to say something in hopes it would make me feel a little better. It didn't work http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif.

I certainly care http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif

I was trying to get to know him, and wanted to play a game with him, being as he is a level 100 RAcast just like me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

I guess I'll never get to game with him, and never know him past the interview Ambrai did with him...

It's ashame too, because my hope is to have played with, and collect cards from everyone on here, as lofty a goal as that might seem!!

Aww...man!
I never played with Spy before. We were to have a trade but both of us BSODed and lost our items.
Don't cry...most beautiful girl on Pioneer2.
BTW...what happened to Spy? Why won't he be playing? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif

Never say never! I have a solution, hunger strike! Now, as to my problem, here's a brief synapsis.

I was in an accelerated learning program that let me goto college for my last 2 years of high school. I dropped two of my classes cause they were boring and a waste of my time. My parents don't share my view and they attack, gaming/online activities http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif

I will return though

Thats just not fair http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif

I was lucky in the way that my parents were just glad that I wasn't doing drugs or getting in trouble. (I live in a VERY bad area, check my local news) Matter of fact, I satill remember when my mother's friends would remark about her only son being a computer geek. Her remark? "Better then a druggie"

Then my dad, well, he was the one who gave me his Atari 2600 when I was 6. Once he showed me how to play frogger, and I started getting better at it then him, he knew what he had created http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

When you get back, I want to game with you Spy. Seriously.

Sheo, I will take you up on that. If my parents don't give my Dreamcast back in a week, I'll steal it back http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

My parents use to do that if I got in trouble. (I had my share, believe me) They would..ahem...hehe.. "Hide" My nintendo from me, and wouldn't give it back until they felt I'd "suffered" enough.

Now, I was a latchkey kid, so I had about 2 and a half hours to myself when I came home. I eventually found the hiding place (Under their bed) and would quickly hook up the machine and play it for my daily fix.

You can imagine how scared I got when I thought I heard someone at the door and I was in the middle of a Strider stage, and needed to hurry up and beat it to get the password.

Things are funnier when you look back on them http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif

Time for bed, then work 5 hours later. Ugh.

Vaya Con Dios...

Well Snap!

I'm sorry to hear that DG and Spy- Thats probably one of the dumbest things a parent can do.. But then again I guess you gotta look at their reasons too- Hang in there Spy and come back better than ever.

I would have posted in some of your eariler topics but I always seem to be the one at the end of the servers paper trail- Last night it took me 10 minutes to load up the forums.. Good to see a plan is in the works to get the DC.

Operation Sneaky Ass shall be going down when?

Its sad that your parents want to rush you in life. You should take the time and cherish each and every moment of it.

This is a good thread to read first thing when I come into work, its funny and light hearted.

Dont Sweat it Spy, I hate to say thing but perhaps its a good thing. I know its sucks, but no matter how you put it games in general take up time that could be spent doing something more productive. Yes we are all entitled to our relaxation/entertainment. However when our "entertainment" starts taking up ALL our spare time we start to loose site of what is really our priorities.

I myself have fell victim to this many times, especially playing a hell addicting game called Everquest. I noticed MAJOR differnce in my attitude and grades between first semester (not playing eq) to second semester (playing eq)

I dont think your parents are trying to be mean or "rush" your life. I just think they care and want the best for you. It sounds like you are an intellegent fellow and have alot going for you, so stick with it.

Look at it this way...You put your nose to the grindstone and work real hard now and the next few years, then you can get a nice job that makes ya money and actually gives you more free time to play games later http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Yes, im 21 2yr deg in Com, apt, car etc...and I play more games now than I did in High School hehe.

Hey Danger Girl, if ya need a nice person to hang with Ryiko is really funny and spunky, we've hung out before http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif I know a wittle shortie force is no replacement for a big ol Studly Hunter http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif

BTW Sheo, that is too funny about Strider...you must be around 20 too cus that exact thing happen to me too, lol. Some games I can remember sneeking to play while "grounded"

Bubble Bobble
Zelda
Metroid
Strider
Castlevania (2 i believe)
TMNT (if ya dont know then ur not kewl hehe)

Its funny but those are some of my favorite games, I guess thats why I would risk gettin caught and still play them http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Wow, I remember doing the same thing with Master Blaster when I was a kid... man, my parents hated my Nintendo.

They still sort of do... but now they're hoping that my game addiction will make me rich somewhere down the line so I can send them on a trip to Australia or something. Funny how people assume that something's important in your life if its lasts through college. =)

Grin and bear it, Spy. I've been there, trust me. Best thing to keep in mind is that your parents are just trying to make sure that you're keeping your options open for the future... even if it seems like they're being overprotective.

Here's a tip for staying out of trouble witht he parents in general...
If you have a sibling, make sure that your parents "know" you are the "good one," They will never admit it, but they have a favorite....
If you don't have a sibling, hiring a bum to make you look good will also work. This worked for me all through highschool and college and it can work for you too!

I remember all those games...*sigh*...Rygar was probably one of my favorites. Master Blaster was cool too...he had a BIG head though when he got out of his car. Although I never did lose sleep over playing those like games today...

Let us all have a moment of silence for the gaming systems of yesterday...
