Wait until it bursts out of the case, wrending all of your internal parts... =X

..go with an anti-virus util? Or just say eff it and reformat. You can get all the porn again, except have an anti-virus tool next time so you're safe...it's almost like a cond-- ...err..nevermind.

a good anti virus program should help. unless its a worm.

i would recommend panic, as opposed to anything constructive.

this might be a good time to incinerate your hard drive to ensure nobody can recover the data on it.

although that wouldn't help much either.

how any virus can work with the windows O/S is beyond me though.

1. Use your computer's default virus scanner to root it out.
2. Use your own virus scanner.
3. If 1 and 2 fail, manually delete any files you feel may be infected (Cookies, TEMPINTERNETFILES, Downloads, Whatever. i download all my stuff from PSOWorld and elsewhere to one convienent folder.)
If 3 fails. 4. Reformat harddrive/reinstall windows/use a boot disc to delete, then reinstall important thing.
5. Don't download anything. Ever. Again. And get a REALLY good firewall. That autoupdates.

I dont think its really causing to much damage, I got McAfee so I will try that, and I will delete all temps and crap.

Bah, MacAfee did nothing, either did deleting cookies...

It isnt a virus, it is a parasite, it justs gives me more pop-up adds and crap like that. My main worry is that its slowing my computer down. And my FPS in Dya of Defeat is worse.

One word, 'Adaware'!
What you've got is Ad-Ware, get an ad-ware remover(such as Ad-Aware) and run that sucker!

Heh...
Side Note: Both my copy of adaware and my firewall were cracks... Teehee. I'm a bad widdle boy.

If you're running Windows XP, bring up the task manager and look through the processes list, if there's anything suspicious, end the process.

...but leave anything with SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE as the username alone.
