Well lets say that hypothetically that i used a gameshark to save my character on another memory card.Now that new plan SEGA has to ban cheaters by banning their serial #'s if they detect the use of a GS ever on that save file.Will that cause me to be banned from PSO online forever? I am really nervous about losin all my work im level 69 and this is my first and only character and i don't want to spend approx 150+hrs again leveling up a character.Someone ease this friggin stress!Umm this was all hypothetical of coursehttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Personally, I would not reccomend that you use a gameshark to back up your file. I have never condoned the US of gameshark for anything on PSO. If you still feel it's necessary, and Sega does enact something to ban your serial number, than I would suggest not going online with the copied file. But if you have used gameshark to alter your save, you are basically up shit creek without a paddle. Sorry, if you have been cheating it's your mistake and yours alone. Since this was only hypothetical, if you are considering doing this, I highly reccomend you not. I have a lvl75 character, and he's the only one I have, so I would be pissed to lose him. But if I did, I'd be mad for a while and then start over, the game is fun whatever level I'm at.

Well if you didn't catch the sarcasm there i will tell you i DID use a gs to back the file up and i have started a new file(bye bye lvl 69 HUmarhttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif)Well it is quite odd now,i made friends by basically helpin out newbies and now they are all stronger than me i feel weak as hell but it is great that they help i get 1shot in and they kill away i love online friendshttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif in 2 days im 3 lvls away from hard mode and im not doin to bad id say i feel bad for them helpin me 6 exp for a lvl 73 character is almost nothng.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but other than the steps taken to stop the use of backup save files, Sega has yet to really do anything to stop cheaters. Yes, I too have read that nice little article by Cloudchaser, and I can tell you that it is all a bunch of bullshit. I still see people with lv.999 mags using techniques in the lobby and duping items, so that article was noting more than propaganda to scare cheaters. I don't cheat, however, so I don't know if personally if they are banning people yet, but I am still seeing blatant cheating going on all the time.
