View Full Version : What if the Append disk could...

I admit it, at first I thought the Append disk would be nothing more than a bug fix of the original game. But seeing all they could cram onto it has really bumped it's potential 100%.

I made this topic so you can post "phantasies" of what would be cool to see on the append disk. Not what would be good to have, but just nifty thigs that would be cool to see. Here's mine:

With the new difficulty level, it would be cool to see new phases for the bosses (except for the Dragon (He's a natural wuss http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif) and Dark Falz, he would just be deadlier).

For De Rol Le: after the last stage, De Rol Le divides into 4 smaller versions of itself that submerge and surface randomly, swarm the raft and shoot the purple blasts like "daddy".

And for Vol Opt: after it blows up, Vol ejects a smaller robot that can hover, move fast and shoot rockets and energy blasts (like the gilchicks). My inspiration for this was E101? Mk. II (the last boss of Gamma's adventure in Sonic Adventure)

So, what do you think would be cool to see? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

I like that Vol Opts idea, Beta was one of the coolest bosses in the game (behind the Egg Viper, of course).

Anyway, my idea would be a kind of "quest editor" option where you could make your own offline quests. You would be able to control what NPCs say, which ones appear, and if any of them join you. There could be AI ratings that you could set for CPU-controlled characters, and there would even be a mini-character creator that lets you design what they will look like, in addition to premade ones. You could set the reward for the quest, how many monsters appear in each room, and design the area itself to a degree. They could even use a trigger system similar to StarCraft that lets you set up where you want things to happen and such. Then, you could title your quest and post it online for download. This may be a lot to ask, but it would increase the offline replayability a great deal.

As long as they have a genisis mag and Dreamcast mag, I will be a happy camper. Oh yeah, and if they block cheaters, that will be even better. Heh poor bastards....

I'd like to see new weapons and spells and stuff to more equally balance the characters. For example:

Level 16+ spells for Forces (obviously), and perhaps some new Force only spells.

New canes which cast high level Rafoie, Gibarta, and Gizonde so Forces have a good reason to use a Force-specific weapon.

Really really nasty traps which Trap Vision tend to sometimes miss to give the Androids more of a balancing factor.

A grenade launcher weapon type for Rangers which launch explosive rounds (like Rafoie). Give those *#$$ Spread Needlers something to pine for.

Hunters don't really need any help, but it'd be cute to have a broadsword that worked like a slicer--but with cheesy blip sound effects and 4 white chevron shaped shrapnel that expand from the target upon impact. Oh, it only fires its projectile when you're at full HP.

That'll be cool. Maybe weapons go up to 20 stars and 20lv Techniques. Also maybe like 5 Force only Techniques http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif so i can now laugh at hunters http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif lol

Droids should be able to hold more Mates since they can't use resta.

I agree with Glider, we Droids need a bit more mates. Just a bit.
