God my PS2 is straight broken

I was playin GTA3 and all of a sudden it said error reading grand theft auto 3 DVD. Then all games just stopped working. I kicked the crap out of it after that.

Meh anway, how cheap can I get a WORKING PS2?

You should if you want to save money, that ps2 at amazon was 126 your saving 53 dollars from the 179 you'd be paying for at stores.

Sorry to hear about that man, i lost my first ps1 back in the days when they were still $199.99 ....er was that $299.99 (whenever FFVII came out is when it started f-in up).. so i know the pain..

if you dont like buying things online then be ready to shell out 180 + tax or buy a used one >.<;; in the game store.... which who knows how many years they used LOL.... i dont trust em people..... anywho id say ebay..... and check the feedback and conditions i sold mine a while back there and bought a new one..... from someguy it was sealed and everything for 145... so i got myself a good deal...

My PS2 has the same problem.

Disc read Errors up the ass.

I guess Sony is in a huge lawsuit about it right now, because watching DVD's on the PS2 then switching back to non-DVD games really f*cks it up internally.

If you decide on getting a refurbished or used PS2 make sure you stay away from earlier versions. V1's are notorious for having bad lasers, and V2's seem to run hotter and also share laser problems. Personally, I would buy a new PS2, the architecture and parts used run a lot cooler now and are more reliable due to the "beta testing" phases they like putting on the dedicated fans who bought the system on or close to the launch date.

my friend set his ps2 outside for like twenty minutes while we threw a football, and when we brought it over to my house, the internal device that read somthin or other on tha disc wasnt workin. so anyways, somehow tha friggin thing busted. that sucked, at least for him.
