Can't play on hard

I have played with my player and another in ruins an tok the boss but i can't play on hard i have don it with someone else help!!

You can only unlock new stages and difficulty modes and have it saved when done OFFLINE.

say, ur in forest normal, and ur playing multimode with a friend OFFLINE OR ONLINE, & lets say u & ur friend kill falz in normal, then when u go to play on ur own ur still in forest, u can only save how FAR U GET when ur OFFLINE SINGLE PLAYER MODE

you can get to hard and very hard and ultimate if your at a high enough level in multilode though

20-hard
40-very hard
80-ultimate
