Kikaider the Animation....anybody here ever taken a look at it? kinder weird, but decent i guess. just curious if anyones taken a look at it.

Yea, I've been watching Kikaider since it started, and I think it's quite good. Although I'm not too big a fan of the old school (see Astroboy) style of animation, I like the story quite a bit. (some liken it to Pinnochio. I see that too, but I think it's a lot deeper. Plus it has robot fights. You have to love robot fights.)

I think it isnt old school cause at the end look at the bottom it says 2000 the year it dosent look old to me.

Note that I said the ANIMATION was old school style, like Astro Boy. The anime itself is rather recent.

Im a real fan of anime, and I like the story of Kikaider, but the ANIMATION looks like a couple of americans tried to draw like the Japanese

No, I think that's just the end of the first season, seeing as there is an episode on next week titled "Return of Gill"

I have satellite tv, and I can see the titles of all of them next week, and they all are new episodes, so unless the program information was wrong, they are.

My theory is that this was one of those once weekly shows when it came out, and since it is on every night, it makes the seasons go by rather quickly, hence the 'end' episode.

I'm gonna wait til it hits reruns before I watch it. I slept and played through a good deal of the episodes. so I sorta get lost.

Talk about old school. My brother used to watch that live-action show out in Hawaii back in the 70s. Kinda interesting they made an animation out of it.

on thursday i thought it mighta ben done, but that coulda ben just the end of season one. i only saw like 6 episodes, so things were kinda confusing at first. still, i guess ill keep tunin in to see if thay go to season 2 or somtihng

been watching it since it started, it's iigh.. not that great, but "watchable" ...
