question about ascii keyboards

I think i heard somewhere that the ascii keyboard + controller from japan doesn't have the normal QWERTY keyboard layout and that it goes ABCDEF. can anybody help me out??

It holds the same 'QWERTY' layout as any normal keyboard. The only things different are certain symbols like the '@' sign, and other things are switched around. (Example: The apostrophe ['] is located on Shift + 7)
