I think it uses the sword animation, but is actually a saber type weapon. *shrug* o_O

It's a sword type weapon that can only hit one enemy. Think of it as an oddball weapon that's different from other weapons of its type, like the Spread Needle.

I think they made it a sword type weapon because of how the character holds it when they walk with it.

Like Kolonera said, some weapons do have odd animations. Like the Akikko's Frying Pan (reconize the frying pan of doom!)

Uh, no, Sonic Team classified that Pan as a katana.

Anybody else saw its stats at full grind and thought it was better than a Chain Sawd, for a moment? o_O

The Victor Axe used to be a saber back on the DC and PC versions. Why they changed it in E1&2 to a sword that only strikes one enemy is beyond me. It's so slow and ineffective that I doubt anyone would ever use it after figuring out how lame it is. I know I tried mine once after I found it and has since sat in the bank for almost half a year collecting dust.

Well, maybe because of the fact it's an axe, and axes are heavy...

I think hat it's just an odd sword, since only Hunters can use them. Straight to the point. (And if I spelled straight wrong, I dun give a #%@$)
