earthlink cable modem [Archive]

can i get online with pso if i have this? i have an adapter but it could never connect. any help would appreciated.

Okay... so, hold on.

Okay you have a cable modem that I assume you are renting/buying from Earthlink. (Or it's just a cable modem and your ISP is Earthlink.) You have your "adapter" you say, and I assume you mean the broadband adapter for the Cube.

First, if not already done, but your adapter into the bottom of your cube. If you want to connect straight into your modem you need to get a Cat 5 cable and connect one end into your GC's modem and another into the back of your modem. If you're a bit further away and want to have multiple items on the same connection buy a router. Hook the router into the modem. Hook one end of Cat 5 cable in GC's modem and another into back of router.
