After seeing how much cheaters are hated on other message boards, ie Gamefaqs.com and Tomeeboy.com/pso, I decided to make this thread and invite any cheater to go and ruin their online fun. Naver, this is wrong on two counts. First off, this board belongs to Tomeeboy. Thus, he (and by extension, his staff) determines what's appropriate and what's not. If discussion of cheating and such is considered innapropriate, or is to be restricted to a specific forum, that's their decision, not yours.

Further, the hypocracy rampant in that statement is ferocious. You and others were complaining when some people went over to cmgsccc.com to argue against the release of the recent hacks. Not all of the people that went handled themselves very well, but on the other hand, neither did most of cmgsccc's clientele, either.

So, you're essentially saying that it is allright for YOU to come over here and bitch and moan about something, but other's can't go over to cmgsccc.com and do the same there? Bad form, Naver, bad form.

At any rate, people, might I make the polite suggestion to not bother going over to cmgsccc.com and harass them over this? It will only agitate them more.

Both the company that hosts cmgsccc.com as well as Sega's network ERT have been alerted to the fact that there was discussion about an orchestrated "disruption of service" attack on one of the SEGA servers, coordinated out of cmgsccc.com.

I doubt CM will be pleased with your "joke" (which of course was never a "joke" until you realized the severity of the situation), should either his hosting company or SEGA take administrative action against his website.

The players that used the codes did the so called damage. Futhermore, CM's disclaimer clearly states that NO ONE should use these codes online. But you can keep em comin'. Oh, please, Naver. I don't pretend to be an expert in internet law. But I have worked for an ISP before, and have had the pleasure of deleting more than one of our hosted sites when we found out that they were hosting or supporting activities that were expressely forbidden in the service contract they were beholden to.

I have no idea what Pair.com (cmgsccc.com's domain provider) or Sega will do; that's up to them. They may takes steps of their own, or they may do nothing.

And as far as "Sega going bankrupt"... so what? If that's the case, maintaining the integrity of PSO is just that much more important to them, and in a battle between CM and SEGA, I know who my money's on.

And since i played Phantasy Star even on the Master System i know how cool the series are and don't wanna ruin the game.

Keep in mind that cheaters will not play this game for aslong the rest of us will. Why? Because they have nothing to strive for. They can get whatever they want when they want. And even if they did start over and decide to play without cheating, they would revert to it when they started to get bored with leveling.

So what conclusions can we draw from this?

1. Just ignore the people you deem to be assholes and you won't be bothred by them.

2. Cheaters ruin the game for themselves far more than for those who don't cheat.

3. The cheaters will stop playing this game long before you do. So just ignore them.

I just plain and simply DON'T get it. And it's wierd cause earlier I almost used to be like this guy, the type of guy that only plays games to PK and such, of course I would've never done anything as lame and artificial as "pk" in a game that doesn't allow PVP, or stoop to this guy's level, but.. I can *almost* see where he's coming from. But I pretty much changed my attitude, out of the blue really, I mean, why? Why do it if it only causes people stress and angst? What good can come of making enemies in a game, even if they are people you'll probably never see again, or care for in any way? Just boggles me. Well if you look back at my original post you'll see that i said that they don't have anything to strive for since they can get any stats/levels/items etc. they want with the gameshark.
Well, cause of that they have to find other ways to get their kicks out of the game. This is one of the ways of getting some more kicks out of the game. Trying to see how upset you can get people. And everytime people reply and tell him how stupid he is, all you do is making sure he'll be around to annoy you even longer.

This is not true just for cheatersor this game. Once you get bored with something you'll look into otherways of having fun. And i'll be the first to admit seeing how much you can upset people can be quite fun at times. Especially when you're so bored you don't really care what happends anyways. So just ignore the cheaters/flamers/annoying people etc. and they will go away. That i promise you.

I think there's a few things becoming clear here.

1.) There are a lot of kids who play this game. Some kids are more mature than others but at the end of the day most older players will find their antics a little trying at times. Anyone who has kids of their own will know what I mean.

2.) There are a number of selfish, immature players (adults and kids) who get their kicks from annoying other people. By berating them we're just letting them win. There's nothing funny or clever about going out of your way to annoy genuine players or ruin the game for them by flooding it with cheat items. But these micropenises don't understand that because they don't have the intellectual capcity to appreciate other peoples feelings. Unfortunately we'll just have to accept it and pity their pathetic need for attention.

3.) Like I've said many times before - try coming to the European servers if you want to play in a less cheat-filled environment. I ventured away from the Euro servers for only the second time last night. I went onto Puck and couldn't believe the difference. People were dropping all manner of items, setting of Rafoie in the middle of the lobby and generally shouting and screaming abuse at each other. I left after five minutes and after seeing Puck, good old Iapetus and Titan (Euro) seemed like a sanctuary.

I don't recall hearing about Sega filing for either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 filing.
1st. My official stance on cheating :
I do not care one way or another if people cheat or dupe, so long as their actions do not affect my game play experience at all.

2nd. Do you really think that some disclaimer as to not use codes online is any kind of protection? That disclaimer is very similiar to disclaimers used by warez boards or old BBSs(The software supplied is for evaluation purposes) or by the defense used by Naptser(we don't provide copywrited material). The fact is, if you provide a service and it is used malitiously, or illegally, you can be help liable. I am pretty sure that crashing a PSO server is not all together legal, therefore, if Sega wanted to press charges they could go after CM and his web page. All this information was provided by an Internet specialized attorney.

3. NaVer if you do not like what is going on at these forums then simply do not read them. That is what mature, intelligent individuals do. They do not try to take revenge, trying to villify this forum, and proclaiming your own indignities. That is the sign of someone with some serious self-worth issues. By the by, rather than try to attack Puck 9, why not simply find another server you and your friends can inhabit, you can cheat,PK, lobby PK or whatever it is you do, all you want in peace.

4: I am not sure how old you are NaVar, nor do I really care. What the issue is, however is how you present yourself, and my dear boy, you present yourself in a similiar manner to a small child. Lashing out at those who don't share your views, antagonizing others for no real reason. Now this could be because you are very young and don't know any other way. More likely howver, it is because you feel a high need for acceptance because of a low self-worth. I would assertain that you come from a one parent family, and have issues with the "missing" parent. This is quite normal behaviour from someone from that situation by the way. What you should do, is get some therapy to deal with your anger and self-worth issues so you may interact with society in a productive manner.
