Quick question on Battle mode.

I'm not sure which section this should go in, but anywho, here I go. I was playing offline with my nephew and I decided we could try battle mode and I let him use one of my friend's characters. I had a bad weapon on and I decided I should go to the bank and switch out, but when I selected an Item, it asked me which Item I wanted to delete. What's up with that?

For some reason, when playing challenge and battle mode, you have to have anything that you want to take on your character when you load the game. I don't know why they did this.

And, for some reason, it only does that offline. I can access my bank normally online in battle or challenge mode.
