From Cube-Europe.com:
Sammy are currently developing a new keyboard for the GameCube. It will be useful for titles such as Phantasy Star Online because it will feature both a keyboard and a built in joypad, similar to the ASCII one. It is set to retail for 6,800 Yen (£35/€50) and is expected to ship in November.
You may remember Sammy were due to merge with Sega at one point.
