I've read in these forums that mag cells can only be found online during certain holidays. I've also read that they can be found in the forest level on v hard and ultimate. So which one of these is fact or fiction?

no it's not, but it also hasn't been out for the period of time that psogc has been. although psox has more items that aren't available that have been hacked and duped and released to people before it's release.
