Arg! have u ever played in a room with some1 who doest have a mic. You have to bubble chat and it gets real annoying sumtimes.

Ive played with people who just chose not to talk, for one reason or another. They had a mic and they could hear what we were saying but they just typed back.

When I was at my friend's house playing PSO in his room from around 5am-10am, I couldn't talk because I would wake up his parents, but I could listen to other people and type. "Typing" with a controller is painful. -_-

I haven't used XBL online yet, but I know I'd probably use both (mic and keyboard). We don't always feel like talking. And we don't always feel like typing. I can type pretty fast, so I think it would be fine. If it's the bubbles that game in the way, what do you feel about symbol chats? Sometimes people use symbol chats to say all they need to say. I've seen some pretty cool hilarious symbol chats out there.

All my chars are females except for one 'retired' FOmar guy...who looks kinda feminine anyway. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif My chars are cute too! A RAmarl, FOnewearl, HUnewearl and HUcaseal. Most of the time I like to use symbol chat and the 'Create a Conversation' mode cause they can be fun.
Anyway, after awhile of not talking most people figure I got no mic. So when they hear a -very- deep man's voice from little female chars, it spooks a lot of people. Twice now someone dropped some nice rares for another guy, I spooked 'em since I don't use voice mask, and I got the bounty! Go me!

Don't bother getting a new XBL headset, But get a regular hansdfree headset anywhere, and it should work fine.

Personally, sometimes I just don't feel like talking. A lot of the time though, I'm usually bitching at everyone else for not talking enough. There's nothing more boring than playing through the game with three people who never say anything.

my mic broke/was faulty, so i phoned microsoft and they said they would replace it for free, got it the day after i made the call

you can use any wireless phone mic as long as you have the part that plugs into the memory card slot..

MadCatz also makes a replacement mic/headset type of thing. Though I think it's only really a mic or something. Either way its cheap (in all matters of the word) and an option for ppl. Can find it most places.
