Hm.. Aye I may be. Doing this from the top of my head.

I just remember the many 10's and 15's. Has a hit percentage though, so it's not so bad.

Traded for it, the person obviously didn't check the percents.

Ah well.

You mean they lied?

you can have percents in 4 categories, but the fourth has to be hit. it can be 15/15/10/0/10, but not 15/10/15/10

My best %'s are on my demo comet, it's 30/0/0/50

lain, i could be wrong, but i REALLY dont think im wrong on this. i think u can only have 3 categories out of the five. can anyone else, validate 4 % categories legitly on weapons? i dont think so, i think that its 3 categoies at most, including hit

I have tons of lasers and rippers with about twenty in everything except native or a.beast, I know this for a fact. It may have been different on other systems, but this is definetely the way it is on GC.

No offense taken, I thank you for being more mature than most people on the internet. And a topic search is a good idea.

The way ST setup the percents, if they were to make it so you could have upto 4, I'm sure they would have made it so they could be up to 5. Comparing how certain things are setup between the current version and the older versions, I doubt that ST change the setup for the percents.

Legitimately you cannot have a weapon with percents in more than three areas, including hit. That's the maximum, and the way it's been since the very beginning of PSO. The DC & PC versions had a maximum total percentage of 180/3 (legitimately the max was 60% per area, 60x3=180), and the GC & XB have a maximum percentage of 300/3 (legitimately the max is 100% per area, 100x3=300).

For example, you can have...
0/15/0/0/0
0/15/0/75/0
0/15/0/75/40

You cannot have...
25/15/0/75/40
25/15/60/75/40

I'm sorry, I could swear that I have seen weapons I picked up on the ground with 4 percents. But if this is the general consensus, then I guess I will follow suit.

Just one question.

If you can only have 3 percents legitly, howcome dupers stop at 4? why dont they hack it up to five percents?

It's okay, I probably didn't really write that out well (brain's fried from other things). Essentially, the percents are stored in 6 bytes of data within the weapon data. Each percent then takes up 2 bytes: 1 byte that specfies the area and 1 byte for the percentage. With only 6 bytes available and each percent requiring 2 bytes, a weapon can only have up to 3 percents, including Hit.

Back on the DC & PC versions if you carried or pulled out of the bank a weapon hacked with 4 or 5 percent areas the server would spot that and kick you off (I believe ST eventually added a temporary ban, as well). The server would also do this if it spotted a weapon with an illegal percent amount (above 60 back then). Even the armor was watched for overzealous stat bonuses. AFAIK this same applies for the GC & XB versions (with the illegal percent amount being above 100).
