Does anyone know why red mechguns can only be used by the ranger class (with the exception of the HUcast)?

Regular mechs can be used by all classes... so why the exception? Or is it one of those crazy things that ST does?

Anyone know of any other weapons that thwart logic and can't be equipped by someone you would think should be able to equip it?

Maybe ST thought that the red mechguns would be too powerful in the hands of a hunter, so they limited it to rangers. Who knows, we are talking about the same ST that created the double save here.

Red Mechguns give you a plus 50 ATP, and with the +30, that's +110 ATP for a Mechgun. In the hands of a Hunter, they could have an attack power of 1400, if maxed out.

that's *I think* 300 a shot. maybe less.

300x9 = 2700 damage a combo, Taking that all 9 shots hit. I don't know about you, but that's a bit cheap.

hmm that plus the fact that RAngers,just like to feel special.Besides we cant use alot of the HUnter weapons and we meet the ATP requirement. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

HUcast can't use them either, ranger only. HUcast could use them in v2, but not ep 1 & 2.
