GC: character corruption

my mate has just bought modem hes got to level 144 offline . first night he got on he got drilled screen froze he loaded up memory card and it said corrupted i know what it is and how nasty it is but is there a way to fix it plz reply

i hate to tell you but there is no escape.i know how it feels.is so annoying just dont hang with shady players,get to know them before excepting items.that is all i can do;peace dude.
