Okay, With my four characters ive more or less found what i want (Angel Harp, God Units, Brightness Circle, Demolition Comet etc. etc.) So Ive gone after the elusive Lavis Cannon.

So far I have killed 20 Red Slimes thus far and have still not recieved this much sought after weapon. So Lets ask the obvious question.

How many Slimes did it take you?

apart from just that, did you pipe for it?
What quests did you do?
Did you just do cave runs?
Did you just get it on accident? looking for it?
etc. etc.

My first 14 slimes I screwed up on, I did not know that a respawned slime, that had been killed previously do not drop again ..... So after my first 6 red drops on that night, I got no more ...... dammit.

So anyway, give me your views and such.

Is this a really hard to get drop? I mean, It took me 12 pal rappies to get 2 angel harps (piping). I understand it is an 11 star weapon and provides 1/2 or 2 other weapons, but GIVE ME MY DAMN LAVIS CANNON

It's really random with rare monsters, your signature shows that - 11 REDRIA Pal Rappies got you 1 RED HANDGUN, yet 12 SKYLY Pal Rappies got you 2 ANGEL HARP? That's about the most unusual thing I've ever heard. Not calling you a liar, just a strong case of bizarre luck.

For the sake of argument, we'll say the LAVIS CANNON drops with the same ratio as other 11-star rares (ANGEL HARP, AGITO), probably somewhere along the lines of 1/15 - 1/30. But your signature already proofs that any sort of normal "drop ratio" is non-existant.

Well, no.

I'm just saying asking for other peoples experiences doesn't really help. If someone says they got it from their 25th Pouilly Slime, you shouldn't in any way expect simular results. It's just too random.

If you want it bad enough, you'll get it. You may get it from your next Pouilly Slime, you may get it from your 50th Pouilly Slime. There is no way of knowing. It's utterly random. I was told to expect anywhere from about 25 to 50 Pouilly Slimes before I got a Lavis Cannon.
I got it from my 8th.
On the other hand, it took me 27 PINKAL Pal Rappies to get an AUW 1975 Agito. Completely random.

I think that it was just luck, I have some of the worst luck around, I was piping for a hildeblue in the forest on hard in the quest "letter from lionel" and in the room with three hildebears, I found a hildeblue within 8 minutes and got the last survivor http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif but then before I saved my gamecube had an error and I had to turn it off http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif I was mad! But then my gamecube kept messing up and had to be repaired, after that, I went looking for 3.5 hours over 4 sessions for a hildeblue and it took that long just to find one! it gave me the last survivor though... just keep on trying... u'll get it over time...
