The first rare item i ever got was a blade dance. That thing got max grinded and rusty before i moved onto my delsabers buster/shield. Oh, and im not talking about rares that are given to you, one that you legitimatly got yourself ofcourse!

back before my level 144 Hucast got corrupted my first rare was a Brionac I demolished cities with that thing until I got my first Gae Bolg a few areas later

My first rare was a Photon Drop, but my first rare weapon was a Grass Assasin's Sabers. I still can't use them. The horror!

My first on the DC was Delsaber's Right Arm from the first Delsaber I killed on Normal. I got another one on the same run. On the Xbox, I got an AddSlot in the first grey box I opened in the Forest the first time I played.

Add slot... But the first Rare weapon was a LAST SURVIVOR (what I always wanted by the way) The first one I got had a sweet 25% Dark on it, which was what I needed!

I found a PD on my first run through Forest 2 when I recreated my char after my lil brother corrupted it. Then, in Hard Caves, I found a Club of Laconium. My Fomar, who had a maxed Dex/Pow mag at the time, still cant use it and he's lvl 43. He's using a Varista now, and is getting ready to own Hard DF with a 4-slot Dragon frame and a couple Resist/Saint's.

My 1st rare in DC was a BRAVACE http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif and 2nd a Proto Regene Gear in same game. Mines hard http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif
Until 1 month later I didnt realize how lucky I was in that mines run. Also my 1st mines hard run ever.

In GC it was a lot more common... a Crush Bullet.

Mine was an Add Slot in normal mines. My 1st rare weapon? A Crappy Brionac for a HUcast. Needless to say, Soul Eater was far better. I miss those days. Too bad Sega doesn't tell you in the Manuel that Red Boxes are special...

lol i have 13 DB'S sabers! me and my bro do hard together cause hes only lvl 40 and im 87 so we get them all the time. my bro has 4 of em too.

First for DC was a Double Saber.
First item for GC was an add slot.
First weapon for GC I think was Musashi.

::sighs:: ah yes, my first rare...well, by what I remember, my first 20 rares were Brionacs....heh....then I got the Gae Bolg, and I thought "wow, I'm gonna use this sucker for the rest of the game, it's the coolest!" After about 50 of those, I moved on....

Mine was a Musashi. Used it from normal DF all the way through Ulty forest, I did. It's max ground and sitting in my bank account, because I can't bring myself to get rid of it...

My first rare ever was a Musashi from my very first character a HUcast... Very first run in Forests... I thought I was never gonna be able to use it...

Lets see... 300+ hours ago *flash back* My first rare weapon was a Slicer of Assassian. Then I found a Varista... then another Varista... and another... and another... then I found a Diska of Liberator I was like Hey a cool item.... then I found another... and another... and another... and its safe to say I HATE DISKA OF LIBERATORS!!!! CURSE MY WHITILL ID AND FINDING SLICERS!!! GAH!!

My first rare was my Mag, Fluffy. Turned into a Rati outside the teleporter to Hard De Rol Le. Ahh, I still have such fond memories of that. "Will I like this? Will it be less ugly then the hideous Apsaras it is now and the horrific Kama it was before that?" ...And then I fed it that last Antidote, it hit L100, and I fell in love. ^_^ *sighs happily*
Although if you go by things that are actually hard to get a hold of, red box or no, it would be my Gizonde Merge, if I recall correctly. First rare -weapon- was a DB's Saber.

My first rare item was obtained at Level 1, first time through the Forest, on GCN. An Add-Slot. Then, I didn't get ANYTHING throughout Hard Mode. Went into Very Hard. Went after the Dragon. Got a Yamato. Fell to my knees in praise.

Then that character went dead.

So far, all I've gotten is an Add-Slot with my new guy, Shin. But i'm a Skyly, so all'll be fun very soon...
