Elly either didn't have her machine obsession in Ep1, or she just didn't mention it. Remember, she didn't know Calus was an AI until you found him. Add in the fact that while the general personality is the same, ep2 Elly does seem a bit off her rocker and somewhat different, and her character model has completely changed from a FOnewearl's to a unique one, and it's easy enough to wonder if it is indeed the same Elly Person. But yes, it indeed is the same Elly Person. More or less the same Calus, too, I assume.
