Hey I was just wandering how many PSOers in here are into metal music?
Are you in a band?
What are your fav bands?
Seen any of them live?

Well in my case Music is my life so... I'm in a band, listen to metal music non stop and go and see bands live quite often!
Plus my fav bands are:

I've enjoyed the last few In Flames albums. Their latest, Reroute to Remain, is a little too melodic for me.

Lemme see, who else is good: Ill Nino, Chimaira, 40 Below Summer, Machine Head, and Pantera.

Pantera's earlier stuff was a lot better than anything after Far Beyond Driven. Cemetery Gates is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Far Beyond Driven wasn't that great, and neither was their latest. But I loved The Great Southern Trendkill.

I saw Arch Enemy last summer. They put on a killer show. Angela Gassow is way hot, too.

Loads of people like Metallica, but don't even listen to Metallica S & M...

It's so much better than the originals. I don't understand people's obsession with liking music/games that are "old".

Maybe because they're good? I appreciate Metallica trying to expand their listening audience by getting together with the San Fran Synphony, but it was no where near as good as the originals.

Anyways, as for me... as long as it's not death metal, then I listen to it...

My favorite band is Metallica, and I've seen them live once, but going again this weekend...

The only song on S&M that I think is better than the original is Call of Ktulu. That song seems like it should have been recorded with an orchestra to begin with.
