Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance- Dream Theater

Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From A Memory- Dream Theater

Animals- Pink Floyd

Fly Me To The Moon- Frank Sinatra(Although the Utada Hikaru cover is awesome as well)

Eulogy- Tool

Ok so the first three are albums, but they are all concept albums, and Six Degrees is really a 48 minute song. They still count because the whole thing is great and if you only listen to part of it, you don't get the full effect http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

In response to this, listen to Punk rock 101 By bowling 4 soup.

Same song different chorus
It?s stupid, contagious
To be broke and famous
Can someone please save us from punk rock 101
My Dickies your sweatpants
My spiked hair, your new vans
Let?s throw up our rock hands for punk rock 101

Hmmm... take it your not a fan of blink? heh.
Anyway I like the band because of there music, not just because it's Considerd 'uncool'. My god I love Nirvana, Placebo and several other Rock Bands. Just because its 'Crappy Punk Rock' doesn't mean it's not any good.

for example here's a qoute from Apple shampoo:

'I'll take what your willing to give,
And I'll teach myself to live, as a walk on Part, of a Background shot, Of a Movie I'm not in.'

If that's not genius what is. I know there's better stuff out there but No need to mock it, It's just my Opinion.

Edit: You know the world's gone Pot if a Rock Fan is mocking another rock fan's taste in Music. Whats the point? They all write, play and sing there own songs. If your gonna mock something, Mock Dam Britney Spears. Gimme a break.

I can only really come up with a couple of songs that i really like lyrically.

'Save Tonight' by Eagle Eyed Cherry, i just love that song.

'Just a Day' by Feeder. Like the message in there, that he doesnt want to drag his friends down with him (or so i understood it)

I know i like alot of other songs caus eof there lyrics, but none really come straight to me at the minute.

(Oh, and Robantifast and Cubis, at least contribute something towards the post first before you ridicule others decisions. How about we see what songs you would choose and we could 'gag' and 'piss ourselves' over them maybe?)

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica

Everybody's Fool - Evanescence (only because it perfectly describes someone I know)

I'll have to take a rain check on the rest... can't think right now...

That won't stop me from debating you though. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Lets see here...

Jimmy Cliff - The Harder they Come

Gimp Bizquik - Your Taste in Music Sucks

Huun-Huur-Tu - Eki Attar (So what if it's a traditional Tuvan song, I like the Huun-Huur-Tu version.)

Anything by Melt Banana, or Thee Michelle Gun Elephant.

Gimp Bizquik - The "N Word" Song

I can go on and on. I listen to the greatest music ever...

EDIT: Yasuko O. of Melt-Banana has the coolest method of writing lyrics ever.

Method:"I read dictionary and pick words from pronunciation, and also meaning. I get idea and develop song."

Result:"PLOT IN A POT! PLOT IN A POT! BANKRUPT'S BIRTHDAY! BURNING BANQUET! PLOT IN A POT! PLOT IN A POT!"

Heh heh heh... I seriously have to try that some time.
