View Full Version : DC: Thinking of getting PSO v2 PAL. I have questions.

Since I hear the PAL version of PSO v2 is free to play online, I'm thinking of buying it.

If the EU servers are down, does that keep me from playing on the JP and USA ships/blocks?
Are there more players/active games in PSO v2?
Has the hacking situation died down?
Can I transfer my US character to my PAL copy of v2?

Thanks.

Which console are you talking about? The Gamecube version costs $8.95 per month for the Hunter's Licence and the Xbox version requires you to join Xbox live.

>If the EU servers are down, does that keep me from playing on the JP and USA ships/blocks?<

Yes, because you won't be able to logon at all.

>Are there more players/active games in PSO v2? <

Yes.

>Has the hacking situation died down? <

There is still extensive cheating.

>Can I transfer my US character to my PAL copy of v2<

Probably not.

If the EU servers are down, you won't be able to play. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif There are not that many players on PSO Ver.2, but it's sufficient. There are far less hackers now, but you'll still have to be careful. As for transferring your character, I have no idea.

Oh well. Given the circumstances, I'll just wait till I get a GameCube and PSO Ep. 1&2

Is it still possible to play PSO online with the Dreamcast? I thought the servers had closed down earlier this year?

I think that was for the japanese PSO v1 only

Wrong. All Dreamcast servers EXCEPT those for PSO have closed at the end or beginning of June.

Ok then

well I guess they're going to be up as long as they are players ...

perhaps I'll renew my japanese v2 HL one day; just for a few hours of DC fun http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
