is berserk special worth using?

in case you didn't know, the berserk special drains your hp for a really powerful attack. i have over 1000 hp and it takes me into the yellow with 2 or 3 uses. is the increased damage (about 500+ per bullet with my vise) to the enemies worth the damage done to you?

if you know what you are doing, then i suppose. many like charge, or spirit better, since it does not risk life as much.
