I live in Tampa, Florida, and I was on my way to Busch Gardens (the big theme park of the area). We were driving along and I look over to see a couple older-looking brick buildings. One was a construction company but the other was called the Yung Ho Tae-Kwan-Do Academy. I was shocked. I even blinked a couple of times to make sure I had seen correctly. Surely, no one had such low awareness of their own namesake! This, of course, led to several crude jokes between me and my dad: If Tae-Kwan-Do isn't your bag, go to our sister dojo, the Hung Lo Academy of Jujitsu! I bet their slogan is "Serving men since 1982!" Daddy, I wanna learn Karate there!

Anyway, flame away, but I couldn't help myself. XD

...simple things for simple minds? I don't know. I think if I were in elementary school I'd of laughed about it, but now it's not something that I'd laugh at. o-O

I wouldn't say it was THAT funny, it's just one of those things that make you go 'Ha!' the first time you read it.

On the subject of Stupid names a Friend at work was was telling me that one of his best friends at school was a Timothy Watts (T.watts) http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Not that funny I know, But parents should really think things through before they name their Children.
I do remember Dalpha telling me about some guy on the guestlist(?) in the Nightclub he works in was seriousely called Peter Enis. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I know they arent that funny but it is pretty interesting and I'd thought I'd chuck it in.

Oh, come on, it's mildly amusing. I laughed, anyway.

...However, I also felt the need to take this picture while I was in Seattle last year:

I'll respond with a Dilbert quote.

Unknown employee: I know our company pencils are supposed to be our first initial followed by our last name, but can't you make an exception?
Pointy Haired boss: If I made an exception for you, everyone would want to change their pencils.
Unknown employee: *walks off*
Pointy Haired boss, thinking: That Brenda Utthead is quite a whiner...

The Dilbert writers must be running out of ideas.

Heh heh. That's quite a good site. Any One know the Email for Graham Norton? (I doubt if anyone but the Uk will know who he is)
If you haven't checked out that 'Engrish' site, you really should! It's pretty cool.

Bah, so I was feeling rather childish at the time...
Speaking of funny initials, my name is Sean Nicholas McElhiney, initials are SNM. Say that out loud, laugh, and be merry at my expense. Damn. My. Parents.
