How do I transfer characters?

I'm having trouble transfering my character to my freinds xbox. I figured out how to put him on the memory card, but how do I play with my character on his xbox?

you have to make him a temporary character on his box. he then ONLY be available for multiplayer games. when your done, you have to transfer him back to the card then back to the xbox, or you will lose your progress and possibly your character. (if you don't transfer char back to box, he will not be playable anymore until he is returned)
