well if ur looking to find the lavis cannon i think the first step is to fight more tollaws and u should try the offline quest Soul of a blacksmith or the online quest lost heat sword more tollaws apear here. well more than 3 anywayz.well hope it helps

I dont know...Tollaws have been pretty nice for me and some other people I have played with. I have gotten Lum. Field,R.Handgun, and a P.Drop(lol),from after about 4 HS runs. So i guess all I'm sayin is its random. But I try not to think about the rares I want, becasue thats how i got all these, becauseI had forgotten they dropped these items.

Im guessing your offline, but Heat Sword is your best bet, tons of Tollaws there, but make sure you are playing with CLOSE friends who will let you have the Lavis Cannon when found.

I have'nt been able to get a Lavis cannon with my purplenum for quite some time, but I managed to get one with my Redria, after killing 15 Pouilly slimes that is, the drop rate for the Tollaw dropping a Lavis cannon is probably one of the lowest drop rates in the game. I believe there is a 0.009918212890625% drop rate. If that's bad, i'm trying to get a sealed-J offline from a Gi Gue and the percents are exactly the same -_-

I can't remember this, but...

Watch out if Soul of a Blacksmith requires you to complete Forest of Sorrow, since that particular quest is your best bet at meeting Hildetorrs. Sure you can play any quest as much as you like when you have completed all of them, but that could take quite awhile and effort in ultimate....

An alternative to Soul of a... is the Gran Squall quest.. you get an NPC to take blows and there are plenty of monsters including tollaws.

That's true what you say Fanatic, but what happens after he completes that? He still have to complete all to do that quest again so he might just aswell clear em all one after one (It takes time i know http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif ). But when all is done it's well worth it, first you get enough money to last some time http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif and you get to do all quests again fopr hunting rare enemys and things like that.
I think you should complete them all, but that's just my opinium.

Does anyone know Gibbles' rate of dropping the Lavis Cannon for Whitills? It's probably also one of the lowest drop rates ever... I hope not though...

The trick is to play the quest but not complete it. You can do as many FoS runs as you like as long as you go to the guild counter and cancel (or get Alicia killed for those so inclined ^_^).

Sure I would recommend completing all quests at some time, but some of the quests are pretty tough trips in ultimate ruins, which your char may not be ready for by the time you want to do FoS or SoaB (or whatever) runs.

Want losts of Tollaws? Do Forrest 1 in Heat Sword over, and over, and over.

Im well aware that it's very hard, i've done it my self... but it's worth it in the end.
I completed all offline quests on lv90. The only real hard one is Soul of Steal, but as i said, it's well worth it...
Back to Topic.

If you aint planing on getting online it will take you awhile to find Lavis from Tallows... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif.

I wish you all the luck you need http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

actually you could do what i do on FiY...i go to the end of the quest and just quit game...i don't talk to the guild again so it doesn't show the quest as completed...so you can do it as many times as you want...(although...you don't get your shitty amount of meseta...)

You don't need to complete the FoS quest to play SoaB. You need to be able to play FoS, but not complete it. I didn't complete FoS and I'm still able to play SoaB.

Are the chances of getting an Agito AUW 1975 off of the Tollaw the same as getting the Lavis Cannon?

Lucas2k4
Aug 6, 2003, 02:26 PM
I think that the Agito's drop rate is lower but I'm not sure.

A Tollaw has a 38% drop rate, which isn't really that low.

Being 11 stars it is on the harder end but there are drops much harder to get.

Yep. They're both 11 stars, so they both have the same chances of dropping.

The % that I put up might be the lowest drop percent in the game, if you would like to know the percents for the Lavis cannon and 75 Agito go to THIS (http://members.tripod.co.jp/sakaki2k4/ult.html) Japanese site

I don't know how they came up with those percents, but I have a copy of the rare drop table file from the game, so I can compare the chances of a rare dropping with another one.

Dragon_Ash
Aug 6, 2003, 03:06 PM
Well the %'s seem logical as 0.009918212890625% seems like the kind of drop rate for the sealed-J compared to a Hidetorr dropping a frozen shooter which is 50.0% I think this site is reliable since I have'nt always got rare items from rare enemies, and they preoably got the % from sonic team

I'm guessing he was talking about the drop rate for rare weapons. The percentage Kalonera mentioned could be related to Tollaw's chance of dropping anything. But the drop rate on that Japanese site could be spot-on for the Lavis Cannon.

Yep. Most powerful of the Saber class. Not the most powerful weapon in the game, but it's a very nice thing to have and while the Agito has 50 ATP on it and IIRC a bit of ATA(And a rather useless 15 MST boost), Lavis can have Hit %, as well as other %s that don't need to be added via West Tower and duped Pdrops/spheres, and can be turned into the Double Cannon, which is the strongest Double Saber type you can obtain offline(BKB fully grinded is more powerful, but can only be obtained online). Lavis Cannon, being a Saber-type, is also faster than the Orotiagito, which is a slower Katana-type. I'm rather fond of my Lavis Cannon. I wouldn't reccommend looking for it off of Tollaws, though. Much easier to just power-level a REDRIA FO to Ult and pipe Pouilly Slimes, IMO. I say FO because properly twinked they immediately hold their own in Ult provided they don't get hit. >_>;

I agree. There is no one to calculate the percent of that drop. I have a feeling that you have to do something special in order for it to drop, even then, you won't have a guranteed chance of him dropping it.
