Heyas. I'm an Oran HUmar. I was raising my mag so that it would become a Yaksa. According to the guide, I would need Dex > Mind > Pow. I raised it so that right at level 50, dex would match mind, while power was lowest. Unfortunately, my mag became a kama! I was wondering if any of you have any insight on why this is so. Thanks.

Hey... what do you think you're doing with my name? --;;

To answer your question, MAGs may take a different form if their two highest attributes exactly match. You cannot get a MAG from a different class or section ID this way - just one of your own with drastically different stats. (Example: A type-A Force normally needs to raise a MAG with Mind > Pow > Dex to produce a Naga, but Pow = Dex > Mind will work just as well - quite convenient if your base Mind is already maxed out.)

I am *the* Drake. (Yes, I used to sign my name that way... so there. :P) This man is an impostor! Impostor, I say! This town ain't big enough for the two of us, so scat, ye lily-livered varmint, a'fore I 'ave ye tarred an' feathered! (--Dear gods, how many accents did I just mix? XP)

...Oh, and I'm glad your MAG worked out. :D I like Yaksa. It's so... shiny...!

Yup, Yaksa is shiny http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif
Ok if you want to fight over the name, I'm just gonna tar ya, since a drake is a duck and therefore you are already feathered http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif C'mon varmint, quack! Quack! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif
Well it's too late to change my name...since Drake was the name of my RP character since many years ago http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif *quack*

Nonono... Drake as in Firedrake. It's a kind of little dragon with very sharp claws. And very sharp teeth. ...Are you a duck? 'Cause we eat ducks for breakfast! ::Snaps her very sharp teeth::

I'll let you live, though, since you have such exemplary taste in names.

You can tar *and* feather me if you want. Feathers are supposed to be very good for the aerodynamics. :D

I originally posted about these bizzar MAG tranformations a while ago.

So far I've come to this conclusion:

When the two highest stats of you MAG (not including Defence) are equal, a level 50+ MAG will take a shape based on the natural affinatly of the class.

ie: If your a Hunter, you will get a MAG normally highest in POWER (even if power is lowest), a Ranger will get one noramlly high in DEX, and a Force in MIND.

The exact MAGs are as follows:

a Type A Ranger will get Kama
a Type B Ranger will get Varaha
a Type A Hunter will get Asparas
a Type B Hunter will get Bhirava (not confermed)
a Type A Force will get Naga
a Type B Force will get Kumara

Well Yuri, Drakes were here LOOONNNGGG before Magic:The Gathering http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif
A Fire Drake was what killed Beowulf, and that epic is older than Magic http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif Besides, TSR (makers of AD&D) and fantasy novels had drakes way before magic the gathering. So drakes originated from earlier folk myths, not Magic the Gathering http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif

Most of what Xaken said is correct... but... my type-A RAcaseal raised a Mag with Pow = Dex > Mind, and it turned into a Bhirava, not a Kama. ^^; There may be other factors to consider - the character's subclass, which particular attributes are highest, and so on - or maybe the list is just slightly inaccurate. ^^;
