GC: Gamecube Modem Question

I live in Australia and have read previous posts about people that live in Australia, and have imported the Gamecube modem from Europe to play PSO online. The Gamecube Modem costs too much for me to buy from Europe, only because the European dollar is 3 times more than the Australian dollar :S .
I wanted to know if the American Gamecube modem would work on pal Gamecube systems. Pso is just not the same offline. I used to play PSO version 1 to death on my dreamcast online.
Please help me out fellow pso fans

well, i don't know the answer to your question, but you might be able to ask someone in that thread that has the cube and is in australia... and see if that would work if they know the answer. PM is a wonderful thing sometimes.

You could try emailing nintendo tech support as well... they might know that sort of thing. It's worth a shot at least
