keyboard question

I just have one small little question... You put the keyboard for the gamecube in the 2nd 3rd or 4th slot right? because someone told me you have to switch the keyboard with the controller every time you want to use it. I think that person is wrong but I just want to make sure.

controller : 1st port
kb : 2nd port
gba : 3rd port (i think)
2nd controller for snapshots : 4 th port

the keyboard will work fine in any slot

doesn't matter. i've played with it in #4, in #2, etc. My brother has played with it in #3. No problems anytime
