I actually didn't find anything wrong with the whole speech thing. It was the pointless rave sceen after that which bugged me.

There are three levels of bad film, to me.

There are films that are just bad (see: Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor, Titanic, Jurassic Park 2/3, etc.)

There are movies that are so bad that they're funny. (Dead Alive, Bad Taste, Any Jason film, soe Gozira films, all Gamera films, etc.)
