GC: Question bout multi player (offline)

um... How come my friend can't find any rares for his ID when he plays with me? I formed some hypothesis's but I haven't gotten enough proof. 1st players section ID takes control of all rare drops OR the higher level takes control of the rare drops. Somebody tell me?

First player is the primary ID for drops.
