Chinese Food makes me sick. X_x

I tend to stay far away from it. The only thing I can stomach are those fortune cookies, Which actually are quite tasty.

I'd wager 90% of the dishes listed here won't be real Chinese food.

There are afew local restaurants, and they're all I know of, thus, General Tso's chicken, African chicken, hibachi chicken, and fried rice(with shrimp or crab if possible).

The last time my brother and I went in for carry-out at the local buffet, they were just out of General Tso's. We know they are quick to keep the buffet filled, so we practically guard the General Tso's container, waiting for fresh to be brought out. It's brought out, and we end up taking all of it just between the two of us.

..and I threw in some fried rice and African chicken.

I love having a high metabolism. XD

well how crazy is this... (speaking of general tso's)

My dad introduced me to a lady when I was in China a few years ago who was a decendant from the original G. Tso. I was all like "Yo Wench, hook me up with some chicken foo" ...

apparently she has the orginal recipe and stuff. I don't think I've ever had General Tso's non-Americanised. I actually thought it was an American "invention" sort of like fortune cookies.

I normally have take-away food instead in a restaurant since I don't visit Chinatown often. Stuff I love are:

Special Fried Rice
Chicken Chow Mein
Crispy Aromatic Duck (with the pancakes and stuff)
Satay Chicken (on the skewers)
Spring Rolls

And some savoury fried balls with meat in them. Dunno what they are in English but I know what they are in Cantonese. Ok! I'm really looking forward to the next time I visit Chinatown now!

Everybody and their stupid hat likes General Tso's chicken, why is that even an issue? I like orange and lemon chicken too, and broccoli chicken... Potstickers are nummy as well.

Although I'd rather break out the Yoshida's sauce(Ooh, how non-authentic) and marinate a chicken breast cut into small chunks with that, cook it, break out the sticky white rice, make that(Without burning it! Ooh! ph34r my l337 skills!), sprinkle a bunch of my favorite brand of furikake on that(And a little rice vinegar on the portion of it that gets made into onigiri), and haul out the kombu and bonito flakes, make some dashi(It tastes better than the instant kind), and then get out the dried wakame and miso paste(Shiromiso usually) and make miso soup with lots and lots of wakame(Instant miso is complete drek unless it's the kind with the paste and the freeze-dried wakame/tofu/aburage/onions/whatever the variety it makes has in it. That's not so bad. The powdered stuff that's all they sell around here is crap). Mmm. Sushi is good too. <3

Reminds me, fall semester starts soon and I have two classes on Monday that take from about 2 to 10... Need to find where I put my bento box and where my chopstick holder ran off to so I don't have to worry about dinner.
