Madden curse

this weekend, a new chapter in the madden curse has been written. the madden curse is cover athletes of madden video games go on to have bad seasons. this has happened the last 4 years

2001-Eddie George-RB, Tennessee Titans-Injuries, first season under 1000 rush yards
2002-Daunte Culpepper-QB, Minnesota Vikings-Injuries, 11 picks and 33 sacks in 11 games, benched
2003-Marshall Faulk-RB, St. Louis Rams-injuries, under 1000 yards rushing
2004-Michael Vick-QB, Atlanta Falcons-Fractured fibula in preseason

you may also have seen discussions on the curse in magazines and on the todays 6pm sportscenter. dont forget the sports illustrated curse, either. the college team pictured on the college preview issue always loses

Hah, yeah I saw this IGN awhile back. Very interesting, but it's not like Vick will be out for the whole season. Funny you mentioned this though, I totally forgot about reading the article and this thread reminded me about the curse.

Yep, saw it in EGM. What did they say about it on ESPN?
