Splitting a Blue Slime Into a Red Slime

I read on this site that this is possible but I have tried 239598041561 times and counting. Has anyone ever really done this? Or is this just a theory that it is possible?

239598041561 times? Impressive. Yes, it is possiable to split a slime. U need to use barta and zonde to split it.

On Ultimate, My HUmars Rabarta did the trick. It did 0 Damage, hit everything around, and always split them.

As Bit pointed out, Rabarta is the tool for slime-splitting on Ult. Deals 0 damage to them, and has 100% chance to split them. Furthermore it may freeze the slime, letting you hit it with more Rabarta to split it again instantly.
Also, since it has a 360 degree field of effect, you can simply spam Rabarta and not have to worry about other slimes hitting you.

same thing happened with my bro on ult. (i was in VHard i think...) difference is he got a Guard Wave i got a Diska of Liberator...piece of shit slime...

Also, when you do a combo move, if you hit a regular slime on the 3rd attack, it will split too.

Slimes can be split into Red Slimes. It has been done. If any of you know a HUnewearl named Gwendolyn, that's the one who actually split it. Of course, it was on my lame Bluefull ID, so it didn't drop anything.

I think oran is fairly good, but as with most all ID's, you will find alot of the same thing.

I am currently doing item excavation and red has already appeared and dropped Demo Comet. I would rather just play the game than telepipe or try to split.

Maybe, if it was an 11 or 12 star item and a rare monster, telepiping would be easier, but in my current situation, which is only doing item excavation, I have no need to spend my time trying to make rares appear.

The only item I have not seen drop is a red sword.

Yes, slimes can split to Pouillys. I found a couple of them that were just plain Pouillys returning from piping up after splitting, but most, including the 8th one that dropped my REDRIA FOmar a Lavis Cannon, came from being split. Ditto the 9th that dropped my ORAN HUmar a 3-slot Guard Wave.

I have been standing in a room in caves 2 hard for 10 minutes casting rabarta on poutfully slimes and it has split into about 10 of em none of which are red i keep killing them and i never get anything other than crap

There are a couple of important things to observe when red-slime hunting.

1) Each slime can only be split into a total of 4.
2) Never, ever kill any of the slimes if you're doing the telepipe trick (unless the slime is red of course).
3) 10 minutes is nothing. When hunting rare monsters, prepare to do so for hours at a time.

Well, Actually I've found 16 red slimes, some split out from the blue ones but they don't drop anything!!! (DAMN Lavis Cannon)
