I think it will work, but there is a catch. When you play offline multi, both players must enter the TP at the same time. You cant have one guy on P2 and the other in the forest area. I think it make work, but you would have to take your whole group with you. That kinda defeats the purpose and makes it a lot easier to do it in offline single.
