internet conection sharing is the solution to your problems.
USB modem conected to your P.C, spare ethernet card in your p.c.
Ethernet card conected to Gamecube BBA with a CROSSOVER rj45/ethernet lead.

internet conection sharing enabled on your p.c
everything set to auto on your gamecube.

the breif instructions listed above do not require a router, as your p.c does all the work.

heres a breif rundown of what stuff you need
i guess youve already got a USB broadband modem ( conects to usb socket on your p.c) and a gamecube broadband adaptor.

A Spare Ethernet card on your p.c:
look for a socket like the normal modem one, it looks a bit like a large phone socket, this is most likely your network card RJ45 out.

A CROSSOVER cable to conect your gamecube BBa to the socket on your p.c if your using ICS its vital that you use a crossover cable, or else it wont work.

Internet conection sharing capable P.C
most macs offer this, as does windows98se and above
