It's the closest it's been in 60000 years, and the martians are going to use this opportunity to launch from their bases and take over Earth. *cough*

Yes, it was quite something to see. My friend and I went on top of the roof of my house, to see it with a telescope. It was great !!
Oh, I agree, comets are really pretty too !! ^_^

It wasn't so interesting without a telescope. I only saw a orange star. :/

No, not the martians, the people that were banished from earth to mars a long, long time ago http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

Seeing a planet in the sky without the aid of any optical enhancement is very interesting indeed. You are lucky that you are able to see such a sight as they are very rare indeed. Amazing stuff, isn't it?

Martians? No, friend. It is the mole people that you should watch out for

I saw it but it was late, around midnight I think. All I had to do was look east. I thought I was never going to be able to see it since I live in London but even with my own eyes (plus my glasses lol), I was able to see a bright red star, which had to be Mars. I wished that I had a telescope or something so that I can see it's clouds and ice caps.

I saw it.

Mars delivered, man. It promised to be a glowing dot in the sky and it pulled through.
