Can Someone Tell Me If This Is A Dirty Disk?

Every now and then my game will freeze to where it will make a buzzing noise (ahhhhhhh!!!!!). Should the autodisconnect kick in sooner or later or do I always have to lose what I am carrying? I don't see any scratches or smudge marks on the disk, should I go buy another copy?

FSOD= Frozen Screen of Death
This is when the game doesnt recieve a packet from sega's servers. Unless the game was saving, you will only lose non equipped items. But, i have gotten fsod and lost absolutely nothing and on the other hand ive corrputed too.
(FSOD-X=fsod during save, resulting in corrupt game data)
(BSOD=black screen of death)

Yeah FSOD happens alot and its not that big of a deal...its just FSOD-X (that's where you lose your char) that you have to worry about.
