On a related note:

ep2 challenge 1 (1-7)
ep2 challenge 2 (8-14)
ep2 challenge 3 (15-20)
ep2 challenge 4 (21-27)
ep2 challenge 5 (28-29)

I have no clue what Sonic Team's plans are.

Ep2 will have challenges up by mid-Nov or Early Dec.
The new multiplayer quest may be out sooner. Sometime in October (Before Halloween).

That was THEIR plan by the way.

Sounds very interesting. It might be good if it's an actual Endless Nightmare, where the enemies don't stop until you die.

The enemy list is always finite in PSO. The location of every monster is predetermined, and specified by the ".dat" portion of the quest data. Although the quest script (".bin" portion) can control when those monsters appear, it cannot create them.

Sounds like another quirky quest (help build your team skills...has to be a catch).

Bah. One can always hope, I suppose.

But supposely if you reverse the .bin portion of the enemy scripts, you can make the enemies appear all at once, maybe means some bit of slow-down... but of course you'd be killing at faster rates. Think about what the final room would look like. That's something Bar should consider reversing. Maybe he's doing it now...

I just want to know if random spawn points can be created. Infinite variety.

Sort of what I mean. I would rather fight 20 or more enemies in a hallway without noticing it... that'll be funny.

Or fighting EVERY boss at one time on Gal Gryphon's stage.

It would be technically possible to spawn an endless room of monsters by using a loop. By looping through the monster spawn portion of the file data in relation to a single room you are in (altough this may require 2 files one for the level and one for that room). The only problem is its kinda boring facing the same array of enemies in repeating fasion.

If its an online quest you could probably add it server side to continually call the repeat.

Mmmmmmmm, Slaughter......

Right now the servers are down, is that because they are putting on the new English quests?

From how it sounds, you are given a sort of rank after completing the quest, depending on how your team did. Maybe there are different items to be had at different ranks?

Not to get your hopes up, but if my memory serves me correctly the job description from DC TTF was the same as this one http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Perhaps somebody can be arsed to check it on DC? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Although I do think this is the description to the new GC quest that is coming today. We will have to wait and see http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
