"no type" and "ATP/ATA boost"?

I read in snappurus faq aboout no type weapons and boosted stats above normal. What exactly do he mean and do this apply to EP1&2 GC?

I'm talking about Sranks btw.

afaik 'no type' is not in v3 so far.
but lets wait what ep2-challenge brings as prizes...

from history class:
no type was some sort of randomizing your srank prize. you will get a weapon that you name and it wont have a type-appendix. you'll have to rely on chance that it will come out as you wanted or you hardreset once checking in the lobby, what it might be (according statboosts) and try again.

for the boosting...

i just might add that mentioned guide is for dreamcast and PC v.2 version only.

Ok, but I still want to look at it, in case they do decide to do it for GC (I really doubt they will add it...)
