lol JJ, I remember when somebody asked you if the JJ stood for Janet Jackson...lol u were like uhhhhhhh no i'm a guy...but yes I've had that happen a few times with my first HUnewearl Lucy Fur (who got erased http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif ) and my new girl ApokaLipz hehe who both got hit on numerous times...I hate explaining that just because the character is a girl doesn't mean the player is *sigh*

__I hate explaining that just because the character is a girl doesn't mean the player is *sigh*__

...And I hate explaining (over and over and over AND OVER :P) that I actually *am* the same sex as my characters. Why is it so shocking to some people that some of PSO's playerbase might actually be made up of females? :/

I think people *should* assume that female characters have female players behind them, simply because there's no other way to determine anyone's sex without asking directly... and it would be kinda chauvinistic to go around indiscriminately referring to everyone as "he." :/

Actually ive gotten hit on in every other game ive played other than this.

I usually assume that the player is the same sex as their character until I find out otherwise. Since I'm a guy, I play a HUmar even though I like the HUnewearl's unarmed and saber attacks better. I don't know, feels like I'm cross-dressing or something if I play as a female character.

Well I actually ask what gender the person is nowadays to clarify things. I ain't making that mistake of asking (and making fun of) a male ranger have the name "Linda" when in fact she was an actual girl in real life. And I was like "oh"

I play with a HUnewearl and I'm a man.. but so what http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif
I've created my character exactly so, as I wish to be if I were a female??
Is that insane, I ask? Or is it just female side in me?? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif

I was asked too, if I'm a gal (my name is gender neutral). The disapointing was big, as I told, that I'm not http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

But sometimes it creates very funny situations http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

@Drak

I like it, when girl/women play videogames. MY girlfriend does it too and I'm glad about it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif We share many good time together, when we are playing Worms Armageddon or a good match of virtua tennis..

So girls.. go and get a dreamcast, buy yourself a copy of PSO and lets meet us out there... in the cold and wide space of nowhere..

greetings from switzerland early in the morning *g?hn*

Heh, no one has ever really asked, suprisingly enough. I rarely get hit on. (Lewd posings in the lobby aside.. no counting that!) The closest I ever get is the 'How old are you?' in that sort of 'Hmm... how close to me is she?' way. Or maybe it's 'is she legal' http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Cienna is female, so I play her as one. But really, in this sort of thing, unless someone's out looking for luv, it doesn't really come up, or shouldn't. Unless you're getting into heavy RP, the people you're killing with are just the people you're killing with. I'm not going to get upset if people say 'her' or 'she' to me, because that's appropriate for her (Cienna). In fact, I'd rather it that way, less confusing. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif Generally, I do the same to other characters. I get confused calling a female character 'he', or vice versa.

I gave up on female characters. People where just so rude when I used a female character. It's pretty sad when you think about it. You have to wonder if those same people's actions are degrading to women in real life.

I actually never ever asked for anyone's card. People just send them to me and I send mine back in respect. But recently I deleted 9 pages of guild cards with people I don't even look for. Now I'm down to 3 pages of Guild cards with people I'm only interested playing with.

I'm a guy, but I think HUnewearls are great (HUmar = dull! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif ), and both my characters are HUnewearls...one thing I've noticed is that some people just seem to ignore everyone else in the lobby (regardless of similarity in level, or anything like that), and go straight to the nearest female character. Then they usually fall over, or start going on about how cute you are...

Its a "class defines your gender" thing, it's all aesthetics and HP/TP balance, you goddam rednecks!

Sorry.

HUnewearls, the only way to travel!

If you see Millenia the level 47 HUnewearl, say hello (or something)...

please..

look at the base gamers.. like what 12-23 mostly male (heard 53%male..) and young dum and full of...

anyways im male.. i play male.. have a fem HUnter in mind... but when i play w/ folks i usually assume they are their char... i claa men she.. and if they tell me not to then .. i try n remember...

im not on pso to hook up... im there to play and have fun..

J chars are easy to tell tho... also others from contries where language has male and female spacific differences....

but like i said... it dont matter who ya are... as long as you heal me.. or reverser me.. you could be heidi klum for all i care... just dont let me die!!!

hahahhahahhaha

Nice sig Mina. I like the quote. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I often have the gender question asked. I do have 3 female characters that I play though. I found that most of the time I have no problem when people ask. Sometimes It can even be quite funny when you say stuff like, "Have you ever seen the crying game?" or "you won't like what you see under this dress." http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif Although that being said, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for It.

The only thing I can't stand is the people in the lobby running around trying to feel your character up. They ususally have disturbing symbol chats and lewd comments to make the whole lobby experience, so much fun. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif

53%? I would have guessed quite a bit higher than that. And it's a damn good things guys play female characters too. I don't think I'd care for all those HUmars. I think I might want to start up a female character just to find out what it's like. I didn't realize how bad guys treat them and I'm kind of curious now.

<font color=red>Heh, people think I'm a guy all the time because I'm so open and my sense of humor tends to lean a bit towards perverse at times, but I have my pic up in the Off Topic Forum as proof that I am indeed a female. its fun to be a rarity in the game...I like it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif<center>

Hey, PSO characters are so lifelike, well, it kinda fools your brain.

Believe me, even if I know my friend has his girl character on, whenever I type about him, I keep typing "she" instead of "he".

It's the subconscious. Bad brain! Bad, bad brain!

Doh.. I think its kinda funny actually.. I use a Humar and people ask me if I'm a girl cause my character's name is Pellinore.. Must sound too much like Penelope, or people are just retarded.. (personally I think its the latter) then I have to explain to them that Pellinore was the Father of Percivel... The explain to them who Percivel is.. *sigh* no one reads anymore...
