View Full Version : Grinding lowering attack?

I had a BRIONAC (I think thats how you spell it, long thing with glowing blade at end...changed colors...made of purest photons or something or other). I equiped it and was pretty sure it said 999 but I grinded it once and it dropped to somewhere in the 800s. Fully grinded (+9) it was only up to 888. Can grinding weapons lower the attack or was I just mistaken in what I saw at first?

I know this seems kinda obvious, but are you sure you weren't shifta'd (or is it deband? Android here) before you grinded?

After accidentally casting Twins from a PB while fighting Falz last night, I ended up getting two ?Specials from the loot. Both had my attack at 999, but I forgot to note that I'd been buffed by my PB. Turned out to be a DB's Saber and a Varista of course, but it's an obvious mistake you might have overlooked.

You must have had shifta cast on you. Shifta would make your Brionac appear to give you 999 ATP. My Brionac makes my ATP about 880 without shifta. Just be careful when you compare weapons with shifta.

Yep, I made the same mistake too as I have wear my Dragon Slayer. ATP was raised to 999 and I was absolutly suprised and happy..

'till shifta has ended http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_biggrin.gif then I realized, that shifta raise the ATP very intensiv.

This ATP doesn't seem to stop at 999. I once used a whatever sword that gave me 999, no spells. I casted SHIFTA, and my damage power increased anyway. Plus, if you equip another weapon, it will show red or blue numbers to show it increases or decreases.... even if it's still at 999!

The other possibility is that u had a different mag equipped or even different armour/slots.

You're right KodiaX, it just doesn't stop at 999. Oh, and BTW, when you cast Shifta and Deband, they go by percentages off of your modified ATP and DEF. So the better your weapon, the higher Shifta will raise your ATP.

Go and compare with a saber and a gladius (if it doesn't push you up past 999!)

I was just thinking of this whole 999 thing a moment ago.

I guess I should start comparing things with my mag off then? Already I've got some weapons that take me to 948 (last time I looked) without shifta, go Brave Knuckles +55! So how do y'all compare stuff this high? Or by the time you get there, do you care? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif All this high-level stuff is so new to me, but kinda comfortable. I was playing as MRY yesterday (and was informed she's a tall freak) and I just felt so.. restricted. I couldn't kill anything!

My lvl 53 hunter is already above 999 ATP without shifta http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif hehe

although I do have a god/power, s-beat blade, and my mag's POW level is 150 or so http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif
