View Full Version : Simple noob question

I am new to the PSO world, and just have a simple question regarding playing online with a friend.

We were killing the dragon yesterday at the end of forest 2 (our first time there). I dropped a pipe outside the room in case we died, but what I found was that if he died, and I did not, he could not rejoin the fight.

I was just wondering if someone could tell if there is a way around this? Should I have just gotten myself killed as well, and then both go back in together? Certainly not fun for someone to have to sit out the whole battle like he did...

Thanks for any help.

If your friend did quit the battlefield during the boss fight then theres no way he can re-enter when theres still somebody on the battlefield.
If your friend dies on the battlefield, either he waits untill somebody uses a moon (or "reverser" if FO)on him, or the other players quit the battlefield to re-enter afterwards with the one that left the battlefield.

Thanks for the reply!

I guess i'll just have to be prepared to use a moon when that happens, but I was so occupied with the dragon i'm not sure how i'll find the time http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Tut, tut... If you're playing with your friend and they die you're going to leave them!!! The dragon is the weakest of the bosses and as long as you keep out of its "stomping" radius, and dont stand in front of its face, you're fine... go help your dead friend otherwise you'll find people wont revive you!!!

It wasn't a matter of leaving him. We thought he could rejoin the fight by using the pipe we had set up outside. And as to my comment about having time to revive him, I just meant that I was doing a LOT of running around trying to survive, and I just wasn't sure how i'd go about reviving him without getting killed myself -- i'm not very good at this game yet. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

If you were playing offline, all players return to
Pioneer 2 at the same time. So if your friend went
back, you both would, and you'd just have to take
the pipe back to the boss and redo it. Usually for
Boss Fights it would be recommended to place some
means of revival on your customize bar. That way,
when the boss is in its death animations, you can still
use your customize to revive your partner, and they
would still get exp. Just be sure you are in range.

For the dragon, usually you should have enough time
to revive while the dragon is in the air, but I understand
that early on it can be difficult to purchase moon
atomizers.

EDIT- Whoops, didn't notice Online, even though
I thought I checked to see if it was mentioned, I
didn't actually notice until after I posted.
I'm pretty sure everything still applies though,
except for the first part about everyone going back
at the same time.

Welcome aboard. lways nice to hear of new people joining the community. You'll find pretty much everything you could want to know about the game here and there are some extremely knowledgable people here as well so don't be afraid to ask questions. Also check out the Guides section, as that usually has the answers to the most commonly asked questions. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
