If you mean for EXP and items, mines is your best bet (that, and it seems shorter compared to every other ep.1 area).

I would also have to agree with the Mines. It's about the only place in Normal that Whitill can find anything worth using later on, so if you're not ready to get into Hard mode yet, stay in the Mines and find S. Parts. You won't regret it.
