Ok i finished c2 and then i enter a c3 game, where it shows me the message "an error has occured. Turn off your gamecube and go to the gamecube manual for more information." ok im pretty sure my c2 info was deleted so i got pretty pissed and i go back on and i cant even get online. It shows me the message again. Btw this happened yesterday too, but this time i cant go back online. whats with that?

Heh, I just got that about a month ago. I think it was the exact message. I don't know what it is, and if you go looking around on Nintendo.com it'll probably just tell you to clean your disc and turn your GC upside-down with the top open to release any debris. I tried this, however, and it didn't work. Then I decided to test a few other games, and I got the same message after 2-5 minutes of play on each one except for Super Smash Bros. Then I took a couple games over to my friend's and tried them there, but didn't get the error message. Eventually I got a refund for my Gamecube and bought a new one, and I haven't got an error message since. Actually, I regained about $50, seeing as I bought my GC for about $200 I think about a year and a half ago, but since then the price has gone down to $149.99.
Eh, I guess the point of this post is to say, if your warranty hasn't expired, get a replacement at nintendo.com. If it has, then go buy a new GC.

Many people have this problem. It seems some disc drives dont work fine. Its an loading error or something like that. Try to exchange your GC where you bought it.

Aren't there 4 colors, though? Black, violet, orange, and silver.

I feel your pain. My PS2 is messed up because of a manufacturing flaw and sony said they'd be glad to fix it for $250.. don't ya love how big companies care about their customers?

It may have fixed itself but dont get too comfortable, it will more than likely happen again. At the beginning of summer my Gamecube started having that message. So i dont play it for a while, and it corrects it self. But after a week, it does it again, and gets to the point where i turn it on it says there isnt a disc in the cube when it is. I try a brand disk on the cube and it still says there isnt one. So i take it to this dude who fixes systems, and he tell me the motor in the cube had crapped out. And wouldnt you know it, this was about 3 weeks after the warranty goes out? Lucky lucky me. Well i had to buy a new cube. I dont want to put a damper on your happy mood but im just warning you in advance it could happen again. So....that's it i guess.

A few bangs with the sledge hammer will always fix the GC. It Never Fails!! Unless u hit it to hard and it shatters into pieces, then your in trouble there.

I've never had a problem with a nintendo console, bar my Supernintendo which copped a flogging and got screwed and good ol Nintendo sent me a new one for free! The only console I had to go and buy a new one of was the Dreamcast, then again with 2 of the greatest ever games, PSO and Powerstone2 I played it a fair wak!

i think nintendo wanted to make money by making a flaw in the systems motor so if you play to long youll have to buy another one

>_> I got mine at Wal-Mart, and now all they sell is gamecubes bundled with GBA players...so If I refunded my cube, could I get the GBA player too? Cheat the system.

Hey, Spider, same here. Me GC fine so far, but me gamecube blew a fuse and cacked up all it's insides http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif me thinks that was cos I left it on for about 7 or 8 hours, paused, which was not a good Idea, but I was playing PowerStone 2 at the time and doing really good, I didn't wanna lose all me stuff! Not worth it though...did get another VMU though...
