I hope you're ransacked by a troop of apes for that remark. =]

I don't know, I've used McAfee for quite a while, no issues here. Stopped using Norton years ago. Just get something, and make sure it's up-to-date with the latest releases and patches.

ouch ransacked by a troop of apes? that sounds bad, but are they normal apes or flesh hungry evil apes like in the movie Congo? anyways i agree with NKOTB about McAfee.

I agree.. get SOMETHING. So long as you know you have a virus, and can locate it with the scanner - it doesn't matter if your scanner can cleanse your HDD of the Virus. It's not THAT hard to go in and remove a virus by hand. Unless it's a polymorphic.. but there's ways of dealing with that too. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

When you boot your computer, go into the task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL). Go to processes and see if "msblast.exe" is there. If it is, you have the blaster worm
