My other thread kind of sucked so I though why not show you guys those '???' weapons along with a funny max stats glitch. The files are in .rar format (You'll need to unrar them) and require the XviD codec. Have fun!

No, Xvid is a different codec lol.

Hmmmm. thanx for the info. I've not heard of the Xvid codec, but then again I rarely use my BB connection to watch streams lol.

Why is this .rar? I'm tired of digging up applications for lowly supported obscure file formats.

.rar files are definitely not obscure LOL. You can use something like Winrar to open it.

I don't see RAR files very often either and that site only seems to have the source code. I doubt that very many people here will know what to do with it, let alone have to the tools to compile it. If you want to show things to people, then you need to use more common formats.

Uh..it's not that hard to download winrar and use it. If you can't do something as simple as that how are you playing PSO? =/

I wasn't referring to the RAR format, in fact, I have WinRAR installed on this computer. I was referring to getting the video codec installed by average person. Not everyone can compile something from source and install it properly.

I watched them. I thought it was pretty funny. I'm on GC so I've never seen the ??? weps. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I especially liked the second video where the saber has the Card animation. That looks pretty cool when he throws 3 of them on the third part of the combo.

As you can see I added a zip file above so anyone can easily install the codec.

Odd, for some reason when the convenient zip installer that was supplied trys to install it, a couple dll files wont load, and the codec wont work.

Are you using the zip file I posted? It should work with all windows versions 95, 98, ME and XP. Once you unzip it, simply run the installer exe. Then I just used Windows Media player to watch the videos.

Aren't these white saber type weapons made by setting the last 2 digits in the item code to 0? So, then if you do that to any of the normal photon weapons, do they all look a white saber?
